Tony Barbee Candidate For Auburn Basketball Job

The Latest on the Auburn Men's Basketball Coaching Search

The Tide Times and The Sports Times Network (STN) has been told today about a leading candidate, Tony Barbee, being linked to the Auburn men's basketball vacancy. Chuck Gallina, Auburn's men's basketball Media Relations Director, told STN that "We (Auburn) have no information regarding him (Tony Barbee.) It is incorrect that there is a press conference scheduled for late Thursday." The Associate Athletics Director and Media Relations at UTEP, Jeff Darby, also informed STN today that "We are busy, getting ready for a NCAA tournament game. He (Barbee) isn't going to talk to you about the Auburn job, if you want to talk to him. To be honest with you, I think it's hard to believe that questions about a coaching vacancy will be left off the table."

Alabama and Boise State Share The 2009 National Championship

The Sports Times Network in conjuction with The Tide Times, has awarded Alabama and Boise State with a share of the 2009 National Championship. Alabama is clearly a better team in most and all of people's eyes, but in the system that we have (The BCS) we are not 100% sure what would happen in "one game." We all saw Colt McCoy go down on the first drive in Pasadena, concluding injuries are part of the game and anything may and could happen to alter aspects of a football game (ecspecially in determining a National Champion.) DEADERICK #95 IS A NATIVE OF ELIZABETHTOWN KENTUCKY. THE SENIOR DEFENSIVE LINEMAN IS REGARDED AS ONE OF THE TIDES BEST PASS RUSHERS!
